PETRON HOLDS MARIKINA FUN RUN AND TREE PLANTING

Petron Corporation holds The Marikina FUN RUN and TREE PLANTING on Saturday, April 24, 2010. This project is undertaken in partnership with the Petron Running Club, the City Government of
Marikina and Earth Day Network Philippines, and supported by San Miguel Corporation.

Bebet Gozun, Chair of the Earth Day Network Philippines and former DENR Secretary, will be joining the event.

There will be two courses: a 4-mile run around Marikina and 2-mile run along the Marikina Riverbanks. After the run, there will be the planting and turnover of 100 trees (African tulips) at 8:00 AM. This serves as part of Petron’s support to the post-Ondoy rehabilitation efforts. We have coordinated with the City Government for the maintenance of the trees.
